Procurement Update (the working group will be held in English)
In the first part, we will give an update on the contract portfolio, focusing on Microsoft, Adobe, and OCRE. In the second part, we will dive into public procurement law together with the WG ICT Law. Federal Administrative Judge Marc Steiner will give a lecture on the topic. Afterwards, we will have time to deepen the burning questions in a Q&A session.

The rapid rise of the chat bot ChatGPT has also caused a stir in university teaching. Despite the challenges of assessing individual academic performance and handling undeclared use in transcripts, ChatGPT offers great potential to improve the learning environment for students. Lic.iur. Jacqueline Gasser-Beck EMBA HSG explains how chatbots are changing the higher education landscape for students, lecturers, and staff. We will be inspired by various application scenarios and discuss the legally compliant and responsible use of AI at universities.

Building a community for cybersecurity communications and learning (the working group will be held in English)
How can we empower and increase resilience of our community in the age of digital transformation? Digital security skills are core to academic freedom, research integrity, and informed digital citizenship. In this meeting we want to discuss and find ways to share knowledge, exchange on best practices and pool resources for security communications and learning. We propose establishing a dedicated community (collaborating with existing networks) of professionals from cybersecurity, communications, and learning. The aim is to foster a collaborative and interdisciplinary approach to enhance cybersecurity awareness and digital security skills.

Cornelia Puhze is a Security Awareness and Communications Expert at Switch. As a part of Switch-CERT she supports the Swiss education, research and innovation community to effectively address the "human factor" in information security. Equipped with an MA in Political Communications, she learnt her trade in the private and public sectors and NGOs in Zurich and London.
Fabio Greiner studied sociology and theology before doing his master's degree in strategic communications. His interest in how communication constitutes and influences our society accompanied him throughout his studies and brought him to the field of security awareness. He is fascinated by the complex interrelations of security and human behaviour in an increasingly digitalized world. As a security awareness professional he enjoys bridging the demands of IT security professionals with the needs of end users.
After studying law at the University of Zurich, she worked as a researcher at the University of St.Gallen and at Harvard Law School before working as executive director for the Programs in Law at the HSG for four years. In 2008 she joined "Swissnex Boston", developing events and projects in the field of science communication for Swiss universities. After this second period abroad, she returned to Switzerland to become the executive director of the "Institute for Law and Legal Practice". While working in the field of continuing education for lawyers she developed her passion for exploring new ways of teaching, finally leading to establish the Teaching Innovation Lab at the University of St.Gallen.
Jens-Christian has been working at Switch for over 9 years. He was responsible for the design and implementation of the SWITCHengines Community IaaS offering. In 2022 he switched to the Securty department and is building the CommunitySOC service as “Head of CommunitySOC”. He holds a MSc in Information Technology. Previously he was a software developer and involved in several startups.
Kaspar Scheller is the Product Owner of the Switch Procure Service for the Swiss Higher Education, Research, and Innovation Community. With his legal background and more than 20 years of experience in the ICT domain, he supports Community members in license management and public procurement matters.
Markus Buerer has been working at Switch for more than 10 years and and works in the video services division of Switch. He mainly manages projects and helps customers to realize their ambitions in the field of video. Specialized in creative concept development, efficient project coordination and technical innovation.
Nora Zinsli has been working with Switch for over five years and is the team leader of the legal team.
Thanks to her extensive expertise in the areas of IT law/digital law, data protection/data security, telecommunications law, intellectual property and copyright law, she is well equipped to advise on complex legal issues. She sees herself as an enabler and wants to ensure that the opportunities of digitalization can be used optimally and in compliance with the law. Nora Zinsli has an excellent national and international network. Before joining Switch, she worked in various Zurich law firms specializing in commercial law and IP/IT law as well as at the District Court of the Canton of Zurich.
Stefan Arnet is a Procurement Specialist at Switch. As a part of Switch Procure he supports the Swiss Higher Education, Research and Innovation community with his expertise on license agreements and public procurement. He has several years of experience as a buyer in the ICT domain and as a software asset manager within Higher Education.
